“I have been near-sighted most of my life and got my first pair of glasses in grade school. As a teenager, I had contact lenses, first the hard kind, then the soft kind. As an adult I also had an astigmatism. Later, when my eyes would no longer tolerated contact lenses, I went back to glasses.
I had been thinking about Lasik for several years, and finally decided to have an evaluation at Lehmann Eye Center. The staff was very thorough, friendly, and professional. They were not pushy and did not try to persuade me how to proceed. Dr. Lehmann gave me his recommendation, and I felt 100% comfortable following his recommendation. I’m so glad I did.
“Words can’t describe how it felt when at last I could see so well without glasses or contact lenses. People who have always had good vision could never understand how that felt. At last, I can wear any kind of sunglasses I want. At last, I can see when I first wake up in the morning, without having to fumble for my glasses. I can see while I am in the shower. For so much of my life, my vision was always a problem whenever I would go swimming, snorkeling, or snow skiing when I couldn’t wear glasses. Little things like this may seem insignificant to some people, but if you’ve had poor vision like me, you understand.
“For anyone thinking about Lasik, you owe it to yourself to get an evaluation to see if Lasik is an option. And the sooner, the better.”
